Hello. I'm Dennis from Tucson, AZ and a proud owner of a 2003 Porsche 996 Turbo. I have a few cosmetic mods: Smoked lenses, All out on the stereo, and Upgraded wheels....About to do the exhaust drill-out mod I read about on here. LOL That's how I found this forum. I also own a 300ZXTT that I have been building for about 7 years. Up to 532RWHP and 544TQ on a toluene home brew gas mix. a little over 400HP on 91 octane. I have had my Porsche for a few months and itching to get more power as always. This looks like an active forum and I hope to be an active member here.
I go up to Phoenix all the time with my Z-club...ProjectZ32 and hang out at the pavilions on sat nights. We have monthly meets there. I have been on the lookout for some Porsche people, but see more Lambo's and Ferrari's than Porsche's.
I would love to get some locals to start going to the Sat night shows so I can meet some of you guys. I would love to learn more about this awesome machine. Anyone else on here from AZ?
Mine is the red Z with the mesh wheels in the link below. ProjectZ32 got 1st at Nissan nationals, I was in a feature in Zcar magazine. I want more action with the Porsche group too!!!

HI,Welcome....It sounds like we can all use some of that home brew gas mix on here,,can I buy some from you first??...lol.....OR better yet test it in your Porsche and give us the results first....lol.....You will enjoy this site...
I read an article written by a Porsche tech that made me try the toluene mix. It has 114 octane and is an amazing knock preventative. I can boost to 25psi on my 300zxTT with this mix. It will not hurt your cats or fuel lines under 40% mix. Been using it for many years in my Z car. Here is a quick link to some info about it. Sorry Cali...banned in your state. I have been using it in my 996TT for a few months. It will prevent timing pull when its 115 degrees out here. I will not drive my turbo charged cars w/o it.

I will never ever sell my Z. It has amazing potential for little cost. My buddy has over 800HP in his and I have seen over 1000HP on these. Upgrades are VERY cheap compared to the Porsche. I'm a little stunned how much things cost on the Porsche, but this has always been my dream car and I will likely have her forever. I'm not afraid to push my Z all out because parts are cheap. I will be much more gentle on my 996TT. Man, a full tune is only 100 bucks for the Z after a 450 dollar computer upgrade. I can run 5 different fuel maps with just a selector switch, 100 bucks per map. I'm just a little concerned now though because Nissan just stopped making OEM parts for these 20-year-old cars about 6 months ago. Amazing they made the VG30DETT engine and tranny at the factory for over 20 years! I don't want to come across all about the 300ZXTT, but that has consumed the last 7 or so years of my life. I did have a 1987 Carrera prior to the Z, but the heat here in AZ was killing it. I had to sell her, and I still get teary remembering the image of someone else driving her away. I am more financially stable now, so the Z and 996 will stay for good. My Fx45 is my daily driver. I'm hoping to see some innovators out there start fabricating good 996 parts at a more reasonable cost eventually. I hope to learn as much as possible about my 996. I have so many friends in the car building biz. I'm sure we can find some fabricators out there who can get results w/o the extreme costs.
Texas tag was from orig. owner. Fake tag LOL This is an Arizona car...No rust out here because its impossible with about 2% humidity. LOL
