ECU question has the word "silver" written on it.
I took a look at what I thought is a factory ecu, but someone has written the word "Silver" on my ecu box in ink, so I was wondering if anyone has seen that before? I bought this car used and it has many cosmetic/suspension and stereo upgrades, but did not think the ecu had been flashed before, but now I'm wondering why someone would write the word Silver on my ECU box? Anyone seen that before? Wonder if it has been flashed b4?
most likely means it was removed at some point when the shop had more than one car and they took that ecu out of the Silver one and marked it accordingly...hope your car is silver and not the color in your avatar....or....maybe the name of the guy who owned it then was Silver....or it was given a flash coded as Silver
The most boost I have seen on this is .9 bar. Runs 0.7 99% of the time. My car is Black. LOL strange. I just talked to the guys at vivid and they said any flashed ecu should run at least 1.0 to 1.3 bar? Just strange it has silver written on it? I hope it's my original ECU.

Well, the car does run well, but I'm about to flash it anyway. I just thought that was strange. Bet some moron put the wrong ecu in my car.
I think if they switched the ecu there would have been major issues with the instrument cluster...if you are running fine with no CEL"s then don't worry about it...you might want to check the color code under the frunk lid to make sure your car wasn't silver at some point
