Definitely cash!

If you have a turbo car then you need to increase boost pressure. If a non turbo car then either install turbo/Supercharger. Its easy to turn a car into a 12 second machine but when you want to start getting into the 10 second range its going to cost some cash. Plus the engine will not last as long when you start bumping up the horsepower.

I would think a max effort k24/18g would be in that range; injectors, 2nd fuel pump, intake piping, k24/18g turbos and upgraded clutch should be close. When my car was at that level my mph was in the 10 sec ET range, though I never went to the track with sticky tires or a clutch capable of holding the horsepower.

definitely not! I am a HORRIBLE driver. With my billet K16's I ran a 12.245 @ 121mph, 2.11 0-60. Granted, I could've ran a MUCH better time if I could properly launch the car, had stickier tires, not shifted to fourth, not granny shifted through the gears, but the 121mph trap speed won't lie. I could've probably gone up another 4-5 mph to 125-126mph. That's still no 10-second car though. Mid to lower 11's? Probably... 10's Possibly... if you could launch the crap out of the car and powershift like you were trying to destroy your tranny, I guess an 10.9x WOULD be possible.

Probably better off buying an evo and spending a lot less money getting it into the 10's

AMS did. VRTX also went 10s with 16gs. No reason a well setup K16 hybrid car with good gas won't trap 130+, which, with a decent launch, should net 10s.

That said, there are less stressful options with larger, pricier turbos.
