996 GT2 deal of the century
Guessing on what the car "should go for" I think it's a futile excercise to pin point pricing on a car like the GT2, ultimately it will go for what a buyer wishes to pay and what a seller is ok with taking, we all know that but with a car like the GT2 there are many other factors at play., as with many rare cars, exotics, and supercars this is the case. Factors such as how passionate is the buyer about the car, how patient is the seller & does he have time to play the long game, options/history/condition of the car, condition, miles, and records, as well as how eager or motivated or heck downright desperate are the parties for whatever their own reasons may be. However this said I think most of these cars are reasonable in the 85K - 95K price range, and some of which having over 15K miles are in the mid to upper $70K's. Now there are exceptions of course like the car with the damage report, or the car with heavy mods...there will allways be outliers, I am talking more about the general expectations.
As for negotiations, we all do it...either as a buyer or a seller. I think that car priced to sell is exactly that...a car priced to move even at a slightly lower price point than what the market will bear. If the seller is eager to move the car sure the buyer can get it at a few thousand less...but if the seller has time and is not really pressed to get rid of the car he can sit on it and he will make his asking price, for sure on a car like a GT2.
So in the end it's exactly what was said before, each car is a unique set of factors, each is it's own case by case situation. These cars are not large massed produced built numbers and so it is not plausable to put a formula on their very limited and niche market appeal.

Never said the asking price would be 80k, mine started at 89.9k, but got it for 79.5k. It's called the negotiation process. You stick to motorcycles and let me do the tough stuff, please don't comment.
Lol, "more desirable colors.". Like the one's that need to be washed everyday. You are a funny boy.

The first one is already below 80k, you will have to work on #2. Look forward to seeing the pics of your new 996 GT2.

Look, I'll tell you, Mattyrae, I do appreciate your enthusiasm. Although both links are dead we all know that popular low mile GT2's go fast so it was only a matter of time before they were not valid.
Thanks for all of your help, little mister feisty! Plus one for you too!
There, ya milked it out of me! hehe!
I gotta be nice to ya,, we are both in "Washington" and sooner of later our cars might just meet up. Cheers, mate!
I'm about to by this car. Can someone confirm if this car really is a GT2? The vin is WP0AB29962S696088. The car was repaired quite nicely and it is smoking fast.
^^^ you may like to steer clear of GT2 with salvaged title (what happened to it, flood, accident?) unless you want to enjoy on the street or track or build race car because they are collector cars and the salvage tittle would raise speculation during re-sale of the car down the road.
