What was your first mod?
Just curious to know where people started out with their mod addictions? Do most of us start small, working up to the higher dollar mods, or do we just jump in the deep end and go all out? Do we start with cosmetic or performance mods?
My first mod: smoked side marker lights
I worked my way up to some interior cosmetics, new DV's and silicone F-hose, ECU flash, then hybrid turbos. Those $30 smoked side marker lights must have been some "gateway drug" for me!

I've managed to resist changing the side markers -- never felt the need. My first mods were 997 SSK, EvomSit Flash, DVs, and GT3 Wheels. Otherwise, the car is pretty close to stock and I'm enjoying it that way

Start with the basics -
honestly get an aggressive alignment .. it cures the understeer issue.. do some research on the forums as to alignment setups and choose something appropriate for you.
whenever the dealer messes with my alignment i can tell instantly! and they were surprised that i even noticed.. but that just proves how much it effects the handling of the car
another great mod was upgrading the brake pads to something other than oem.. i like cool carbon pads from pelican parts, they are cheap and offer great bite for street use but show their limitations at the the track as i believe they overheat and begin to stress.. if you need something a little more hardcore i.e for track use go with pfc's or pagids

My first was the side markers, like most people here I bet. I haven't done much but in order: painted rear center console, 997SSK, UMW flash. Next is coilovers then exhaust. Hopefully that will be it.
My first mod was a sequential shifter, but the car was not stock when I got it. It already had a great GMG X-pipe exhaust on it, among other things, otherwise I would have done the exhaust first thing.
Trending Topics
i bought a bunch of stuff before the car was delivered, clear sides, body color rear bumperettes, bumper plugs, keyhole plug, short shifter, silver hood crest, i didnt have much self control lol
clear side markers are prolly the best bang for the buck imo

Now about to get the exhaust, spark plugs, air filter, and FPR.
