K16+mods results at 1/4 mile w/ datalogs for review

Hi folks,


Went to an MIR rental Friday. Been like 5 years since I've actually driven so that was fun at first Had to remember what to do...

But anyway Track was around -260 DA and 60-70F.

Ran Sumitomo HTRIIIs at 32/40psi

Best run was 11.84@121.9 and another 11.85@122.3. I'll scan the slips somewhere if I remember where I put them. Best 60' was 1.78 an a couple 1.8Xs.

I datalogged a couple of the runs to see how she is doing IAT and Peak boost wise. (Attached below)

Car has some weight removal -- rear seats, gt3 console, lighter battery, no spare. But I'm ~290lbs so I figure they just about cancel out.

So real questions:
At 1.0BAR these seem like the car is making good power but I'm worried about the IDCs? A little over 100%.... AFRs around 11.5. Should I worry about anything? IATs good?


Next stop billetK16s and injectors!!

That ET sounds about right for the mods you have, your probably making what 440-465awhp?

What exactly is IDC, i'm not familiar w/the nmenoic (sp)?

I meant to come to the rental and everything and then something came up at the last freakin min....arggggh!

injector duty cycle. and yeah the OP should be concerned about that. his tune is fully maxing out the fueling on his car.

Yep.

So, I guess my real question is what do other K16s @1.0BAR look like? I imagine they're ~100 IDC as well. Is this as dangerous as my paranoid mind thinks?

I have no idea on the awhp. I've been meaning to dyno for a baseline and check AFRs (more data points than my durametric records)

Jimmy P. was saying you might show up. Next time!

Ewww...100+% Injector duty cycle, Henry...your lucky you didn't detonate. Invest in some 1100 cc bosch or ID injectors so you have more then enough fuel, especially if you go w/E85.

Your times to me seem about right for your mods IMO, but i'm only a novice.
