Bilstein, possible hook-up

Met a guy the other night (friend of a friend) who turns out works for Bilstien. I pryed, and he said he could get me some parts at cost. I'm going to try at get some numbers from him but I need some part numbers.
I found some numbers for the pss9's but nothing on the 10's. Just curious to see what kind of deal he can give. I'll surely share the info. Anyone have some pss10 Part #'s ??. TIA

Ask him if he can get a selection of upgraded springs for the PSS series. The off the shelf springs are too soft for the track.

Give me a part # and I'll ask. He works from part numbers only it seems.

O.K. help me out here. I can get a new set of pss10's for 1500.00.
I'm sitting on a set of techart coil overs that I bought used from a fellow 6speeder. Is the deal to good to pass up? Should I just install the techarts and be done with it. Will I be happier with pss10's any input would be great.

Well I'll check but don't want to burn a bridge. Can someone tell me is it worth it to spend the 1500 or should I just install the used techart that I bought last year?? Don't want to just drop a bunch of coin if I'm sitting on a nice set up. Opinions please.

Shocks and springs work together. Just changing springs on the stock shocks might make a small difference, but I doubt that it would help much.

$1500 for a set of PSS10's is pretty darned good. As Landjet said above, you should try to get them respring and revalved if you are going to use them for track duty. I did that on my PSS9's and it helped a lot. I went with 450F/670R. You have to get the shocks revalved to match the springs.

Sorry, I didn't realize that. I'm not familiar with that setup, so nothing useful to say in terms of comparison with PSS10's.

I was under the impression Techart coilovers are basically Bilstein PSS9s anyway.

Thumbs up

If you get the PSS10 for $1,500 i am in also

Do you have a complete set of TechArt coilovers ? or just the springs ??

like i do have just the RUF springs.....no shocks

Because a set of suspension like PSS10 is better then having only the springs.

I'm pretty sure the Techart coil-overs are PSS-9's. It's a nice suspension and I would be inclined to install it. Mine have 100,000 spirited miles on them and still work fine.
