I know what you mean, however the odds of a 25 foot drop showing up in the middle of the track at PBIR, only to be 'offset' by a 25 foot incline from start to 60mph (around 100 feet for this car to hit 60 mph) or from 130-135 (trap speed, probably 200-300 feet) are pretty slim.

That would be a violent rollercoaster that would cause mega crashes.

Also, from 60-130 MPH on the dragstrip for that McLaren can be assumed to be from about 100 feet to 800 feet (around 700 feet to turn the trick?). You can easily use the elevation measuring websites to see what the PBIR dragstrip does over that stretch. I already did. It's dead flat.

That's the thing, I've seen this happen before.

Examples

my car at Cayuga (Toronto Motorsports Park) an NHRA dragstrip.

On some runs it shows 8 feet downhill
On some runs it shows 3 feet uphill
On some runs it shows no change overall but a drop of 5 feet and a rise of 5 feet.

That in itself is strange as hell.

Further, we saw the same thing when evaluating a PBOX run done at Thompson raceway in Ohio. It showed a 17 foot drop in elevation on one pass, then about 15 feet on another one. All the other measurements of that track show it to be dead flat.

Very odd.

Just for fun, I just went through some track P-box data. I have Lebanon Valley anywhere between 2ft uphill to 5ft downhill...in 1320 ft...

So you have two different tracks, same pbox, and variance of 7 to 10 feet run to run.

In theory then you could have a -2.9% run that shows as - 3.6% or - 2.2%

It's very odd.

Would be interesting to see what the other measurements of Lebanon or etown show.

Yep..I checked bike runs and car runs...same wierd data...at both tracks...

I also dug through my land speed P-box runs. Over 1-1/2 miles, I see anything from 3ft downhill to 10ft uphill...

Guys
Got a file from member LamboTT (formerly Soundeffects) on his UGR Gallardo TT with a stage 3+ setup. He ran a 4.06s 60-130 slightly up hill on pump!!!
If he can find a little race gas and a downward slope the car could go well into the 3s, imo!!!

Congrats!!!

I forgot to tell you, this is with me and Kevin from UGR both in the car! Take 1 person out and some travel gear (about 200lbs total extra) and I think that would put it in the 3's. I'll keep 6speed updated.

Is it possible that somehow depending on the planetary alignments and season this could change slightly? Maybe its something to do with the polar ice caps melting, lol.

Or maybe then "G" sensor is thrown off once in a while during a run. Here in FL, it's almost always flat unless over a bridge.

I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation as every trun on the same track is different...but it makes you wonder about the validity of a road run and it's data, where it technically may be an uphill and downhill to even out......
