having fun at a runway

these are some videos of an event at a private airport. There were a lot of Pcars and a lot of 996s representing I know there were a bunch of guys from here

A video I took, at 7:20 I raced a turbo S and I was doing quite well until my ypipe blew off
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQFSS...eature=related

Porsche races (me at 1:30)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJP0-...el_video_title

same race from my car camera
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oge1H6W4ZLQ

I was only able to do a couple of runs because my ypipe blew off so I had to spend the rest of the day fixing it to get back home (did not have tools)

The GTR killed me with the launch control, plus you can see how crappy my launch was (1:27) This was my first time drag racing so I had no idea how to launch

Looks like it was fun. The strip didn't seem that wide in the videos -- had to hold your line well eh?

your B5 is my dream car

being a previous B5 owner I am used to breaking stuff and having to fix it with just a freaking screwdriver haha btw do you still live in fort lee?

yeah it did not seem that wide but once you were on it it was a pretty decent size, enough space to slide a little

Thanks bro! To be honest I was sort of trying to break it to shake out any weaknesses in the drivetrain or the car itself. This was the first time I had it out for a stressful run at speed. I am happy to report not one thing broke and no check engine lights! (you know how those go...LOL)

Yup still living in Fort Lee. I'll send you a PM with my cell.... lets go out for a run this weekend!

aww damn it so i could have made some money too !!! there is not a single E63 in the country that can go head to head with my car. i still frequent MBWorld. there are few fast C63 that can though. i used to gamble with my E55 all the time too - debadged sleeper status

how much was it to race? i am definetly in for next event like this. wish u woulda told me

how about an GTR alpha9 then? that thing was a bullet.. I know you are pretty good at launching, I suck at it but those cars with launch control have such a huge advantage.

The event was only 50 bucks including lunch.. it was pretty cheap plus those guys organize really cool events, I went to a bikini car wash once and it was just mmmm... insane!!

ooo wow can you please let me know next time. im in.

alpha9 has power on me for sure when running on kill mode. on pump mode it would be competitive. but i also launch harder and they spin unless on drag radials..
