New Excellence

Received my June 05 issue of Excellence magazine yesterday. It has an interesting article about a 650 hp Ruf RT 12 and a 800 hp PSI car.

The RUF has a 997 GT3 look front bumper. RUF use to have it's own look and design. Lately, they just copy upcoming Porsche designs. The PSI car just looks clownish. On a positive note...I like the HP numbers..

It's my understanding that cars in Europe are lower because their bumper heights arent as much of an issue as here?

I like your signature.... had both... I had my ferrari at the dealership all summer long... they didnt know how to fix a check engine light... as far as the lambo- a little better- but still oil leaks. I hope you are prepared to expect the unexpected.
I was towed twice from downtown Chicago(dinner date)... Italian cars feel and look great- reliablity is a major problem when you drive alot.
wish you luck.
i still like your signature.

I just read the Ruf article yesterday and like the car a lot. Even the occassional red interior bits appealed to me. If you go all out based upon the numbers they were quoting I think you are looking at about $225 ish. As for what Markski says about Ferraris and Lambos I would venture a guess that they are getting better but still not up to Germanic levels and may never be. I'm fairly certain each subsequent generation of Ferrari since the 355 was designed with more regular use in mind. As for Lambo, Audi's influence which is positive for interior bits and dependability and probably negative on exterior design, should be better as well.

I've been told that a lot of companies intentionally lower the cars a bit in all the ads. It is a subtle change that makes all of the cars look more appealing.

The article on the PSI car said it was an excellent drive, just a bit stiff on regular roads. Other then the racing clutch i got the impression they loved driving it, esp. tracking the thing. I could just imagine motoring down the ElCamino in town on sat night. Cops would tag you the second they saw it, for something!

It would be interesting to see the boost pressure as well with the chart. The article said it is limited at 1.2 Bar? 807HP? Those are very good numbers if correct. The curve does not seem that bad at all for a K24-29 hybrid.

Neil, does it have stock gearbox?
Thanks
