Fiberglass will require you to drive with exponentially more care

For me, I couldn't do Fiberglass. That's why I got rid of 2 different bumpers. I felt as if I had to drive on tippy toes. With PU you still have to be cautious because of clearance but I felt peace of mind. With PU all you might have to worry about is a new lip. There plenty of people on here that do just fine though. Remember it's the first point of impact.

I disagree. Have you ever tried to repair a bent PU bumper? I've installed a ton of bumpers (FG and PU) and although PU is more pliable, the fact is FG is SO much easier to repair.

This is the way I think about it... whether it's a PU or FG bumper, if I hit something, the paint will be damaged and the bumper will either crack (FG) or crease (PU). Either way, it needs to be fixed and like my comment above, it's easier to fix FG.

Also, I've seen some aftermarket PU bumpers that are so heavy, they start to sag over time. Both bumpers have their +/-'s and most people will prefer a PU bumper but I def wouldn't mind a FG bumper.
