GIAC flashloader switcher detectable?

If one flashes the ECU program back to stock before taking the car to the dealership using the flashloader switcher from GIAC, would the dealer be able to detect that the car has been reprogrammed?

Thanks.

Do y'all raise the redline? If so, would max rpm be a clue?

Redline stays the same.

What if the dealer flashes a new version of the factory program onto the ECU?

Would one have to go to the GIAC dealer to save the new version of the factory program so to avoid flashing the older version back next time?

I am not sure where the different programs (e.g. stock, pump gas, racing gas) are stored. Are they stored in the handheld flashloader switcher? Or are they all in the ECU and the switcher just let the owner pick one of the programs that's already there?

The programs are in the ECU, not the hand loader. The hand loader should be considered like a mini computer that access the info on the main frame..the ECU.

Redline stays the same.

The ECU is not detectable by the PST2 or 3.

Thanks PorschePhd.

In that case, if the dealership service department flashes a new version of the factory program into the ECU, would it wipe out the GIAC programs?

Did they ever do it before?
