Even though I am skeptical about going further on with this car due to the number of owners (Six!), the CarFax reports few hits, and the little attention I am getting from the dealer, I must admit that I can’t eliminate the car until someone sets eyes on it. If you know of the car or can help me, I would be greatly appreciative.

I’ve been looking for a 2002 and later white TT for some time, always being a day late to the party; Damn work keeps getting in the way.

paulycw is infamous around these parts
Not many Carrara White turbos out there. If you are looking for only Carrara you'd better move on it should PPI checks out.

Definitely do a PPI. Six owners in such a short period makes me nervous. Also have a bodyshop check the panels for originality. Good luck!

UGH! The definitive buzzkill lol PDK is an entirely different story though

Good luck with the hunt! It's at least half the fun...

PDK would be nice. It's just too bad Porsche waited so long to offer them.

Actually, the hunt sucks. I suppose if I was simply looking for any color, but white with black interior is so hard to find or one reasonbly priced. I don't mind paying for the color, but $15,000 over is a bit rich.

I went out of town last week (like every week) and checked in the for sale section a couple days into my trip to find one posted and subsequently sold. Uhg.

Don't be too afraid about paying a bit more for a specific color combo as long as it has a strong resale market (which is why the premium is there in the first place). The dearth of white/black 996TT cars -- a SUPER looking combo -- will make yours stand out if you ever decide to sell it. A premium on the right color combo paid today will be recovered down the road

I'm glad I jumped at the chance when I came across mine. I actually didn't realize how rare it was rare Carrara white was before I bought it

^ No reason to be hurtful! I've come across a few white ones. Most were either gray interior, auto's or sketchy sellers. As soon as one pops its head up, their pounced on.

More info on the car:
The car was traded in with the front driveshaft removed and has an unknown exhaust and tune, with chrome wheels. 6 owners across the country and limited service noted in CarFax (still unsure CarFax works). I would have flown down there this week if it were manual. I do want a white one with black interior. Thanks for info men.
