Fluid leak while trailering

I noticed a small puddle of clean amber fluid that leaked out after trailering my 2001 996tt. The fluid dripped out just in front of and along side of the left rear wheel. The car was in neutral with the parking brake set while being trailered. I used the Rennline tie downs and the ratchet handles did not poke any holes in the oil sumps. I believe the fluid is Pentosin from the power steering/ clutch but I'm not sure why it would leak. The car was not leaking any fluids prior to the 1,300 miles trailer ride. Has anyone seen something similar?

Pentosin leak in front , it is a possibility your clutch reservoir is overfilled that means a faulty slave actuator.... Fluid migration from the steering reservoir towards the clutch reservoir.

fluid

Is it possible that the fluid is antifreeze? The stock antifreeze in our cars is rose colored, not the neon yellow/green of American antifreezes and with the hoses running to the front radiators, and the plastic plates under the car, if you have a small leak it could come out anywhere. Those plates come off pretty easilly if you have torx drivers and some room to work.

BTW, the pentosin is flammable while the antifreeze is not.

I think he's saying just in front of and around the rear left side tire. If I am understanding this correctly I'd check the coolant overflow tank for possible cracks, or if possible it was put at a high angle when loading it on to the trailer and the coolant tank leaked out of safety overfill hose as its located on that side as well.

Amber is coolant.
Green is pentosin.

I think it was coolant overflow. The strange thing is I haven't had any service for 6 months + and I have been driving the car occasionally prior to trailering, so the coolant level should have stabilized.

What changed during the trip down to Phoenix was the altitude. Traveling west to Flagstaff, AZ before turning south to Phoenix, the altitude gets up to 5,000 to 6,000 feet, I think that is what caused the coolant to overflow.

Thanks for the input!
