Cool Giving up 6 disk changer if switching to aftermarket DVD nav system?

I have an 01 and I would like to swap out the OEM navigation system. If I go aftermarket, does it mean I have to give up my 6 disk changer? Would it be possible to link up the CD changer to the new deck?

Thanks,

Mike

P.S.

I don't know much when it comes to car audio. :-)

6 disc changer? Doesn't your new unit have IPOD connectivity. That's like a 1000 disk changer...

Get a double din head unit with full Ipod integration and don't worry about the CD changer. They are about a useful an 8 track.

I put an amp in my old cd changer spot. Lost no trunk space that way.

I'm thinking of doing the same. Have you found one that is best?

I got rid of my 6CD changer just because it was no longer needed. I have a double din that plays MP3s from a DVD thats like a 100 CD changer there. I also have iPod/iPhone connectivity, XM and and SD card slot. You won't miss your CD changer man

Enough said! :-)

I just bought the double din unit just like yours! Did you have to buy an aftermarket amplifier? Im planning on using my factory speakers...so I'm not sure whether I should buy an aftermarket amp or not.

Thanks,

Mike

I got a good deal on the Z120bt. I guess I went with the popularity when choosing between pioneer and kenwood. :-)
