My New Car, I guess it is a Turbo Not a GT3

So I finally broke down and went for one of the first cars I liked when I first started looking.

I had some Drama over this thing when I first started looking but as long as my inspection works out it looks like I am the proud owner of a moded 2003 TT X50 minus the T24's. They were replaced with a set of Billet moded 16's.

I was thinking GTR but considering the use of the car I figured a turbo AWD would be a better all around car.

I really wanted a different engine upgrade package but I will likely be happy enough with the way this thing is done.

All I will likely do is rework the suspension with some ohlins stuff, some links and sways then drive the stuffing out of it... OH yeah and some gold 8 pistons for the front.

OH Yeah again --> Also the front bumper will likely be replace with a OEM GT2 bumper for the looks and fit.

Yeeeeee Hawwwwwwww

Why the rear wiper delete, I have hear they have car scratching issues??? Other than that I could see no reason.

The Graphics will come off and be replaced with something else to add some contrast. Likely the hood will get 3m carbon with intrgrated stripes and the front of the car will be clear bra'ed as well as the hips.

As per the OZ center caps, yup they are gone too. Not my first choice of wheel but I do think they are alright.

I agree with you on the rear wiper. See picture below -- Just put a little black zip tie to prevent the wiper from rotating too far when it's lifted and you won't have the scratching issue (doesn't affect the operations). I've actually used the rear wiper (OK -- only a few times in 2 years), but it functions and I just don't notice it.

I resisted replacing my side markers for a while -- but then I found a set for much cheaper than the $100 OEM price (Hella H23613011 and H23613001 -- $45 for set on Amazon). The amber markers didn't bother me, but the clear markers seemed to match the seal grey car and wheels much better -- see 2nd picture.

You can also replace the rear wiper with a valeo blade which has no aluminum = no scratching issue.

Good tip. Do you know which model is a direct replacement?

Yeah, definitely need to change the colour of the calipers

Paint them yellow to match the exterior and the interior accents

Very cool

Get a yellow keyring and do the key upgrade/conversion too

No worries that you'd be pretending to have ceramics?

Don't feel too badly about not getting a GT3. Having just driven one (for the first time) I'm actually now convinced that the Turbo is a better match for a street driven car. I know it's not exactly late breaking news to folks here, but it was really cool to learn this for myself as I've long wondered if I bought the 'wrong' car for myself. I'm happy to be a Turbo driver, and hopefully you will be too. Congratulations!

Yep, I would be on my car
But I think it'd look cool on a yellow car like his

Having said that, he mentioned replacing the fronts with Gold 8 calipers
I think that'd look nice if the rears are matched too
