I have Stage 2 with a EP 2 Loud exhaust. I installed the EVO intake a couple of days ago, and my SOTP meter says the car accelerates "harder" now...it sounds the same, and the boost comes on at the same rate, but there is no doubt more "pull" now.

It's a good upgrade.

Nate@EVO is infamous around these parts
I finally stepped it up to a Stage 2 today, and I am so impressed by the difference. We went out for a romp, and once the car fully adapted to the parts and the tuning, my car pulled harder than it ever did before. I know I work here and you may view my opinion as biased, however if you get the V-Flow and don't notice the difference you better check your pulse!!!!

Nate it's darn different eh? Anywyas, quit faffing about and step up to at least a GT640. We keep doing Tip 640s and they're my new favorite kit for them

it's that noticeable?

i was led to believe that the increase for stage 2 (chip, exhaust and bmc) were about 10hp....

dock, what the SOTP?

and does lucent carry them too?

So exactly what mods and the resulting power characteristics correspond to what "Stage #"?? If someone could clarify or define the parameters that would be great information.

I am close to 600 brake and still consider myself a Stage 2. Am I wrong??

No, the stages are as follows:
Stage I ECU, BOVs, Airfilter or substitute filter and add for additional charge the EVO intake.
Stage II includes stage I plus muffler and Cat system.
Stage III includes I, II and K24 turbos
Stage IV Includes all above plus headers
GT640-900 is made from various components such as different turbos, throttle body, injectors, fuel pumps etc. The four basic stages are those above. Stage II is about a 520HP.

Stage II has proven on one dyno to add 10HP as posted. EVO ran that dyno, we ran the others.

Would X50 turbochargers qualify and in that case classify me as a Stage 3 car??

Thanks for your reply by the way.

They would, but I would urge you to simply bypass that and do the 600 kit. The level 3 or the spot you would have with the X50 is fun, but the 600 is not much more and so much better
