Well I visited Sportec ths week to return their circa $500 Battery and I was told that "Mr Dodds, you possibly may know something about banking but you certainly don't know anything about cars" The customer service remains very high quality....

That's pure extortion. It should be illegal.
Sportec SUCKS!!! I'm glad I didn't buy their overpriced lip that required brake ducts because it blocked the correct air flow to the brakes.

Well, we are at where we are, the car was rich at low rpm and peaky at high rpm and I really didn't want to blow the motor up again after the last incident: More concerning to me is that, the car failed the Swiss MFK today (not sure whether this has anything to do with Sportec as I have a recorded voice tape from last Friday, where they threatened to call the MFK centre through their connections to note my car is illegal) if I didn't pay their rather exorbident bill, in full, in time before this test !

Sportec is like any other boutique tuner out there. They do work as well as most other less popular reputiple places, but they carry and overy inflated reputation tagged with a name. In the audi community companies like MTM and Sportec were the same and had the same boutique prices with marginal results. Now tuners like EPL blow those guys buy without the boutique image and prices. The moral is do not buy for a name.
