Agreed. I did like how it rode for sure. I didn't realize the PSSX's only had bumpstop issues at really low ride heights.

Did you have to get drop links to adjust for too much camber?

Thanks!
Henry

PS Did you sign up for the PCA Zone 2 @ VIR in March??

Drop links have absolutely nothing to do with camber adjustment.... Drop links connect the suspension to the sway bar..

I have PSS10'S with zero problems at GT2 height. X73 just like stocks are all Bilstein. That's why I went with "OEM" aftermarket. All you will ever need for street and "normal" track use, unless you are a track junky trying to shave tenths off and are running right upfront of the field. I also have sways. I would change nothing in my suspension department, as a DD and occasional track car, it is perfect. And I have only hit a bump stop on the rear once when I've hit a huge obscure pot hole at great speed on a **** road in Croatia when I had my car set ultra-low, lower than GT2 ride height, initially due to sag. If you fit PSS10’s allow up to 30mm sag after initially set height.

Sorry. Meant dog bones or whatever the pieces are in the rear that help correct camber.

Very informative thread guys. Thanks again. I'll be going with the PSS10s.

I did have a bumstop issue when I first set my ride height. I had to rasie it up to minimize this problem. Other than sways and the PSS9's the rest is stock.

Make sure you spec the PSS10's with firmer springs. Renntrack has some posts on this I believe.

No to zone 2 to but yes to Potomac at Summit Main for April. Barry will also be coming. Jump in so we have a good turbo group Maybe we can get Justin as well? Well Justin?

Ah, looks like you have to source them separately. Does that sound correct? I'd rather get them all at once, but it is what it is.

Thanks again!

+1 on the stiffer springs. Thats why I went with the 9ff pss9 years ago. I remember trying an OEM and Gemballa PSS9....WAY too soft.

I'll try and find out what my spring rates are as they work great for street and track!!

Ok so.....
Bilsteins + revalving + 450lbs Front springs and 650lbs back springs. (swift springs)

= Total cost ~4k for the set.

Makes me miss the X73s even more, haha. Damn.

Edit:

I think 2800 for Bilsteins, $250 for 2 shocks (since rears can handle up to 700lbs), and $400 ish for springs + shipping.
$3600?

Are there places to get firmed up PSS10s? Or do you HAVE to piece it together yourself? I also, would like to get it all-in-one kinda thing. Been really looking for a basic stiff suspension alternative. I had stasis tracksports on my DD Audi S4, 700 front, 900 rear springrates, and I loved it!

I think the 9ff and FVD PSS9s are sprung and valved stiffer. I have a set of RUF PSS9s that are valved stiffer and should have slightly stiffer springs that the off the shelf PSS9s, from what I have been told. I've got the RUF kit at home in the box and just haven't gotten around to posting it here for sale.

I have FVD PSS9s and love them. You don't need anything with PSS9s. Just an install by an experienced mechanic and forget about it. Set at stock to -1" ride height or so and you're good to go.

My understating is that the FVD version is a bit stiffer but is still BMW M3 smooth. A definite improvement over stock in both ride and handling.

Ari- where did you get your PSS9's from and who installed them? Nothing else needed, just bolt them on and go?

Just changing out the springs doesn't get the best recommendations on this board, so I may go Bilsteins; after also considering X73. Any suggestions on where to purchase, and PSS9/PSS10 opinions?
About .75 inch in the rear at most to avoid going with toe links, rear drop links, or dogbones. In the front you can get away with about an 1" without extra suspension parts as the PSS10 come with front drop links. Tirerack seems to have a fair price on PSS10 most of the time.
