Robyn, Luis, Andrew and I have been talking about doing small outing this sunday - original post is in 996 forum....don't want to leave the turbo ppl out

Who else might be interested? We can do a P-car photoshoot in Alameda Point or another picturesque locale.

We will meet 2:30-2:45 this coming Sunday, maybe go for a short drive, shoot some photos, and go out to dinner afterwards.
Lets figure out a good meeting spot or we can plan to meet in the parking lot in front of the main gate of the old Alameda Naval Base.

We'll also try to organize something with more lead time maybe in June, and try to get a bigger group.

Whatever works for people - maybe the South Bay/Penninsula people can meet up, then roll out to meet people from elsewhere in the Bay. I think Shaun wanted to do the shoot in Alameda (where he took those pics above).

 

bring the Sc'd 997 ...or drive up in the EVO and we can leave our rice parked at the meeting spot and ride up shotgun with someone.

 

For those coming up from south of San Bruno, Millbrae, Burlingame area, etc...there is a good size parking lot in the BayHill shopping center just off hwy 280 at San Bruno Ave & Cherry Ave with a starbucks, mollie stones, jamba, couple of small cafe's. Next to the starbucks there is an isolated section of the lot that would be a good place to park while waiting for the rest of the crew. Then we can jump back on 280 and head over to Alameda Point...its about a 20min drive from there if the sunday fwy traffic is light through the city. What do you guys think?
