more unsolicited compliments...

Having purchased and installed my 2.5" quiet system from John in May 2010, I could not be more satisfied with both the product and the service from John and company.

On the sales side, John was patient in answering my apprehensive questions (having unfavorable 993 drone experiences with other aftermarket products).

During my install, when a question arose, John returned my call on the weekend (how many vendors do that??).

The product receives unsolicited comments on its sound quality from even non-Porsche owners (the most recent just a few weeks back). The spooling whoosh is cool to hear, the WOT invigorating, and the butt-dyno gives two thumbs up as well (but not up the butt ).

If you are on the fence about this product, pull the trigger and move forward; you will be sorry you waited so long...

Thanks John !!

+2. John @ SpeedTech and the crew at EPL are a pleasure to deal with and I am more than pleased to sell their products. I have a SpeedTech cat-less 3" system on my 996TT and it is a superb sounding system and IMO the best out there.

a few weeks ago i actually got to hear my car at WOT blasting past me while i was in my friends c63, i never realized how awesome and how scary (in a good way) it sounded from outside the car, to anyone who hasnt heard their own car while someone else is blasting it past you then you need to asap

Another happy one here also. I have teh 3" catted version. I get compliments all the time from car folks at my office complex. They drive a variety of cars including Porsche, Ferrari, Audi etc. They all say the car sounds incredible. My mechanic who installed it also praised the fit and construction. He is a P-car mechanic with 30 years experience.

To be totally honest, Sportec compared my Europipe build (which is probably to a higher spec) with the Speedtech exhaust & Smiled, and said if the Speedtech makes you happy, that question I still have to answer as its not on the car yet

Wow, Guys! Thanks!

Chad and I thank you all so much for the compliments and praise and fantastic reviews of our products.

We try our hardest to produce a top quality product - something we would use ourselves and then back it up with the best customer support we are able to provide. I am very pleased to see by these posts that we appear to be getting it right so often!

We have another X-cellerator production run near completion and I ran a few extra systems. Most of these extras have sold in the past week or so, it's been very busy this week, but I do have one system left that is not spoken for at the moment. If anyone is interested in getting in on quick delivery of a SpeedTech X-cellerator system, please PM me...

I run the Speedtech 2.5 X flow without CATS and I can

absolutely hear my K24/18g's whirl

There's a video of the 996 just pulling in and out of the garage. You can hear them pretty good and I like it!

I run the 2.5 with 100 cell cats on my personal car and I clearly hear the turbos whistle all the time. It's the nature of all our systems whether catted or catless. You will hear the whistle a little more on catless systems and on the 3.0 loud (full 3") version, but is s very audible on the 2.5 catted, as well. It's due to a combination of our straight thru X-Flow design (no baffles anywhere), extra large center X opening and the 100 cell Hi-flow cats. A 200 cell cat will tend to smother the turbo spool sound.

With 100 cell cats, the 2.5 should be fine and the 3.0 is marginal (it is right at the 95db threshold). We have customers sucessfully using our 2.5 system/100 cell cats at Laguna Seca, CA with a 92db limit. We can supply turn down track tips for the 3.0, which puts it in the 93-95 db area...otherwise it's probably slightly over.

Catless will be louder than catted, so our 2.5 quiet would be my suggestion to meet your track guidelines and it's a great upgrade in both performance and sound. IMO, 2.5 offers best of all worlds. The 3.0 is fantastic sounding if you like it aggressive at WOT.
