997 Seats in a 996 ?
#2
I've had the 997 GT3 seats in my car for 3 years now. I still have an airbag light but have been very lazy about trying to fix it. I did change the seatbelt buckle but it didn't change anything.
Either way the seats are great.

Pete, can you clarify how you can have 2 buckles at the same time, there is only one mount? Also, which wires are you refering to?

My friend's 996 turbo with 997 GT2 seats, 997 seat belt buckles. 996 buckle under the driver's seat, it's wires attached to car's wiring loom/plug under the seat. No warnings whatsoever.
Temporarily now, before finding out a neat electronic solution.

On my old 996, I installed a pair of 997 seats. You can use the 996 receptacles and you won't get an airbag light. Make sure your battery is unplugged when dismounting and mounting the new seats, otherwise you will get a light
