Unlike the intercoolers used here, a radiator will not be hurt by painting it black. My El Camino had one painted black as the same with the Impala I use to own.

No performance issues here.

Is there anything safe to do the intercoolers with?? I would like to if possible paint them, but not at the cost of performance!!

For what it's worth.......I've been spraying in there (with Krylon or other good brand) flat black for 2-3 yrs now.........have noticed no related problems. I don't go overboard with application.....only what it takes to cover accumulated road rash.

I havent heard of anything to black out the innercoolers, but if there is a need for it, I am sure some one will fill that void.

Any coating on the radiator fins will decrease it's efficiency to cool. Use as little and as thin a coat as needed.

For Radiators, there are specific radiator paints. Comes in a spray can. Any bodyshop can get them

For intercoolers there is something called thermal coating that does not react to heat the same way painting does.
