Mods on a leased car??
Mods on a leased car??
Im all hot to do some mods on my turboS, but as I look further into it, the more I want to mod it....lol. Right now I am looking at EVO stage 3 or 4. My car is leased. What are the negative issues you guys have faced when modding a leased car?? Or does it really matter? Thanks
IF you are planning on buying the car at the end of the lease, there should not be any issues. If you turn the car in and leave the mods on, your are out the cost of the mods, or you could put the original parts back on and sell the mods later.
Then there is the whole warranty issue. Some service departments don't care, others will use that as an excuse to void your warranty.

i have turned my cars back to lease co before. i reversed all the mods and was not a problem. but i am only talking about wheels, suspensions, and cosmetic stuff.
as for performance mods, i think you can actually be fined and may be a big problem. the other option is to sell the car however you want and buy off the lease.

they'll pretty much always take the car back unless you do something too radical. You lose pretty much all the cost of the mods on the used market anyway so i don't see why not. You're going to have the thing for 3+ years, may as well do what you want with it.
