Wanting to race a 996 TT
I have a stock NA 996 and I'll race you. Meet me at the National Road Ralley - Cumberland airport next Friday night. The Chesapeake Region Porsche Club will be kicking the Steeltown Corvette Clubs *** in the annual Porsche vs Vette Shootout.
We like the corevette guys,....they are entertaining! There is asuper guy out there that has one of the largest Vette collections in the country and hosts a mean cookout. He also has a ZR1 under the body of a 57 convertable vette - with Farm use tags on it!!!!!
Seriously though, come on out to Cumberland and bring your pink slip (I'll bring my title - us Porsche guys pay cash!) and we'll have a go at it.

PS - that's my white 996 on both sites.

Isn't your car stock. You may want to consider stage two and changing your stock exhaust. That should give you a good chance to take the vette.

What's a Stage II?
Does that mean the Stage is coming in at 2:00 PM or AM? Hey, if anyone wants to give me a Vette I'll would "take" it. Does this guy Fadis Z really want to give away his Vette?
If so I guess I could help him out and take it.

I love these posts, "Forum" racing is brutal. People are really fast behind their keyboards! We even have a Supercharged 996 that regularly beats TT's. Keyboard racing is so hilarius.
Guys! Stoplight racing is for ricers on NOS! The track is where it's at!
I just did a NASA DE where I was up against Corvettes (C5,C6,ZO6, even a ZR1). It was open passing ANYWHERE on the track. I would easily pass the ZR1 and the C6 and a couple of ZO6's on every run. I would deliberately line up behind them at the start. It was fun blowing by the ZR1 with custom plates "kngfthill" -KING OF THE HILL-But there was a ZO6 and a C5 that blew past me every time. These were the good drivers. This was my first non-PCA DE, and I have to say I now have alot more respect for the Vettes and their drivers. The ZO6 is a great track car (while I would never own one). It is by far the best bang for your buck.
