Help with Offset for 19inch wheels

Looking to go for a deep concave rim pictured below.

Will this offset and rim combination work for the 996tt awd? at what tire combination?

The car is lowered about 2 inches.

Rear: 19x11 at +25
Front: 19x8.5 at +40

Thanks for any input.

Front is fine.

The rear will probably need at least a fender roll to fit that offset.

The offsets sounds good, +16mm wider in front and +20mm wider in rear compared to a stock Turbo. Similar specs are used by TechArt and many others for the 996 Turbo.

The rear with ET25 looks especially nice in lowered cars. Many wheels for our cars have nowadays too conservative offset (e.g. ET35 and higher) due to 997 fitments...

The tires should be 235/35 front and 315/25 rear. However, I would HIGHLY recommend a 18" setup due to superior handling, performance and comfort.

Thank you all for the input, I have 18 inch rims already, keeping those for track days if the car will see anymore of it. I am going for a nice street look right now.

As for the rears, I am pushing it close to the fender? I prefer not to roll them. Just to double check the set up will be o.k with the front differential?

Sorry for all the questions.

MT

The rim size has nothing to do with having a diff friendly set up.

The only thing that matters is matching the tires rolling diameters.

You could run different OD rims so long as the tires were the same diameter front to back.

Great to see you are looking into the new BC Forged wheels. They are very well priced for a 2 piece forged deep concave wheel. Let us know if you need any help in sourcing these - we also listed all prices and styles in the classifieds here:
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...00-19-set.html

A +25 at the rear will fit - with the right camber, fender roll and tire fitment. It will certainly look amazing!

I was on Cargraphic which is 27 in the rear, so far has no issue and I was on 305 30, always wanted to go 315 25 as it would be more nice to fit without too much tire wall showing.

I am considering a similar upgrade for my 2001 996TT with Bilstein PSS 9's, significantly lowered: A set of 19" 8"/11" stock OEM 2009 4S 19" wheels I have found would look great on my car for street use (staying on 18" std wheels with Sport Cups for track use). However, tire selection is very limited in 19". The right fitment to keep the tire diameter the same seems to be 225x35/19 and 315x25/19. Wheel offsets are 57 front/51 rear. I look for advise:
- Will these wheels and tires fit?
- Will I need to shim to optimize clearance?
- Should I stay with 18" to keep my tire choices more open?

^^You need to add 15mm spacers front and 10mm spacers rear on these to make them work/look good. You should upgrade to a 235/35/19 upfront as well. That is a readily available size and will match up better with the rear 315s.

18s have better tire selection, yes, but 19s look a lot better and if you upgrade to a light weight forged wheel, the ride quality is very similar. Wheel weight plays a huge factor in comfort.

With those offsets, you're going to want to roll the front and rear fenders to make sure you don't rub, especially if you're lowered 2+ inches. That's a great looking wheel, but unfortunately, the high front offsets on 911's won't allow for much concave on the front.

Thanks for all the inputs, I'm new to this whole Diameter AWD setup the 996 TT needs.

I plan on raising the car with my bilsteins. If I were to run a 19x11 Rear and 19x8.5 front, what tires do I need to run to keep my differential safe?

Thanks again.

Mark

More questions from olwe Ola w. 2001 lowered 996TT

[quote=CampioniShop1;3518721] "You need to add 15mm spacers front and 10mm spacers rear on these to make them work/look good. You should upgrade to a 235/35/19 upfront as well. That is a readily available size and will match up better with the rear 315s.

QUESTIONS:
Campionishops answer above sounds enticing. However, the rear 315/25/19's are only available in Michelin PS2 from Tirerack. It seems like a very limited selection, which has me concerned. Also, would I have to make any changes to the fenders with my 57 mm offset 8" front wheels with 15 mm spacers and 235/35/19, or to my rear 11" wheels with 10 mm spacers and 315/25/19? My car is lowered about 2" (just enough to clear speed bumps).

We run Front 8.5+45 and Rear 11+40 on widebody cars. You can go lower for a more aggressive stance. The spacers recommendation will bring in your current wheel width and offsets combo closer to our recommended fitment.

We usually run 305s on the 11s as the 315s are indeed pretty scarce in 19s. Otherwise you step up to a GT2 fitment with 12" rear wheels and 325s.
