I can't speak to any other tuner than APR, but this is 100% true with their software. I had it on my Audi for years. And if the battery was disconnected for a decent period of time and you have multiple programs (including stock), it would revert to the "stock" program.

yup absolutely. it also depends on what order the programs were flashed in .... stock doesn't have to be first. it could be 93.

OP you should eb able to tell if you car has a chip by looking at the boost. if you are in .9-1.1 it is tuned.

chances it has an APR flash are slim to none because they are just not that common on the 996tts.
