Audio Recommendations?
Replacing the entire system is the right choice. The stock Bose double din system was hardly state of the art when it came out. (I wouldn't put one in a home for the deaf). Pioneer and Kenwood seem to be board favorites. You great IPOD and Bluetooth integration. A replacement head unit of course is just the beginning (don't plan on using the amp section as it doesn't have the power to properly drive a high end system). Spend some time researching amps and esp speakers.
Im doin this to
Ive decided to go with 4" MBQuarts onyx series in the dash and 5,25" MBQuarts onyx series in the front doors. As for the headunit , im lookin at Kenwood DNX7190HD, as for amplifiers, im thinking JL Audio HD Series HD900/5 Amplifier. With the subwoofers i will go with 2 x 8" RWE202 - MB Quart 8". Not saying this is the best , but i think it will sound good.
Good luck

I just installed the Pioneer Appradio 2 and I love it... great screen resolution and everything run thru my iphone. Not for everybody but a great fit for me. Apps I like best so far; Rdio, Livio, Pandora and XM Sirius. Also all movies/videos etc on my iphone play perfectly thru the screen
I'm putting in a Kenwood ddx419 probably this weekend. Always had good luck with the kenwoods in the past.
I also had hybrid audio speakers in my old evo and loved them...might end up putting another set in the turbo.
