Any chance I could use a CPO repair for the accumulator to cover GT2 conversion?

Any chance I could use a CPO repair for the accumulator to cover GT2 conversion?

I bought the car in December and the clutch was unuseably heavy. They replaced the slave and accumulator under CPO warranty and here we are in May...just happened again. Sometimes the first push of the pedal is light and then it gets really heavy. Pretty on par with the threads I've read here and what it felt like when I purchased.

So my question is, if it's failed again, has anyone had any success with a Porsche dealer doing the GT2 Conversion for some additional cost over the cost of replacing parts? A great argument is that I don't want to see them again in 5 months. I'd love to get some of this subsidized given the option, but curious if others have had any success.

Not a chance. They are only required to replace OEM parts with other OEM parts, not do conversions. The dealer doesn't really care if you come back every month as they get paid by PCNA for warranty repairs. My accumulator just went out and they replaced it (and I didn't even notice it was out in the first place). The cost of the conversion greatly exceeds the cost of replacing an accumulator.

Ah, that sucks. I was hoping they would be willing to work with me so they could make some money on the side above the cost of the standard repair.

I suspect my aftermarket clutch is killing the accumulator faster than usual, but that's just a suspicion.

You are correct. Your aftermarket clutch will wear out the 996TT power assisted clutch system very fast. Next time you need a clutch, have the GT2 conversion done.
