does a 996TT Tip steering wheel w/ paddles?
All-
I've only seen a "stick on" set of paddles in Carbon Fiber that sticks onto the exisitng steering wheel switches with some adhesive tape, but I think it looks cheesy. Is there a "real" aftermarket steering wheel or conversion to make the Tiptronic steering wheel a true paddle shifter?
Off the topic...does a 997 tip steering wheel work on the 996 tip as a direct replcement?

Try Gert at Carnewal (google Carnewal). He has a line of Paddle shifting wheels for the 996 TT and he's great to deal with. I have a carbon fibre/leather wheel which came from him complete with air bag and everything needed to install in about an hour. Works fantasticly. He has a number of different combinations of leather/carbon/other material wheels.

Price will depend on material. My carbon fibre (which is exact match for the CF trim in my car) and leather (also 340mm) was around Euro 1,600 from memory.
I just googled Carnewal and followed the link to "Carnewal - Belgium" and the steering wheels popped up. You need to go almost to the bottom of the list to find the paddle shifting wheels but they are there. Didn't see the Carbon/Leather so you'll have to email Gert if that's what you want. Others are there with and without paddles.

For pictures of the Raid wheel from Gert at Carnewal on my car go to Rennlist Forums and check the thread that has the larger number of pages. Around page 3 you'll find some pictures of the wheel with both a small and large Porsche crest. Cant' get the crest to stay on but will talk to an upholstery shop about that this spring.
