Wheel Spacers - Any ill effects?

I wanted to grab some spacers to help pull the wheels out a bit to fill the fenderwells a bit better. Stock turbo twists on a 2001.

Will adding spacers cause any negative effects (ie weird handling, braking issues, wheel bearing wear, etc)?

What size spacers should I be looking for front and rear? I don't want to roll the fender lips...

Thanks!!

7mm front, 15 rear are very common and don't seem to bother the cars. I have them both if interested. Give me a call.

Do the 15's rub in the front? What about at full steering lock and rebound?

7mm front. 15mm rear. Next best thing to 9x12 wheels. You'll love the stance, especially if you drop the car 40mm. No issues whatsoever.

15mm all around no rubbing at all not even with a drop at full steering lock and rebound... they fit like a glove, some even go bigger in the back depending on how aggressive you want to get

I also have 15mm all around with 997TT wheels. I do get some rubbing on inner portion of wheel wells at full lock. It is minor and I obviously try not to go full lock to avoid it. I started with 7mm fronts (no rub), but IMHO 15mm looks much better.

997tt wheels are a different sizes and offsets then stock 996tt wheels.

Tires were OEM sizes when I had 15mm spacers on.

True! Stock 996TT hollow spokes are 18" rims:
8" x 50 offset in front with factory 225/40 rubber. Rears are 11" x 45 offset in rear with factory 295/30 rubber.

My 997TT stockers are 19" rims:
8.5" by 56 offset in front and 11" by 51 offset in rear. And I guess I should have mentioned originally, I have 235/35 fronts and 315/25 rears.

As long as the spacers are intended for your car with the correct length wheel bolts, there are no issues. Porsche uses and offers spacers but are limited on sizes compared so others.
