New Member Saying Hi & Pics of my 996TTS
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself over here (im from the UK) as i have been lucky enough to buy my first porsche at the back end of last year & although i have been using a UK forum i have been told to have a look at what you guys in the US are up to when it comes to tweaking these cars.
The car is a 2005 996TT S in basalt black with 36 thousand miles on the clock.
The car is pretty much stock apart from a re-map, who did it I don’t know! (boosts 1.1 bar) & so far i have:
Replaced all interior lights with led bulbs
Fitted Led side lights
Fitted silver coated indicator bulbs all round
Xenon fog lights & High beam
Replaced the 3rd brake light with a smoked led version
New 740nm Sachs Clutch
Put black mesh behind bumper vents
Removed spare wheel inc all tools
Removed rear seats
Removed rear wiper
Full detail
So nothing major so far but just a few bits which i think makes the car look a little smarter/cleaner & up to date.
Before this i had a tuned supra so the tweaking bug has already been with me for a number of years now & i already have a growing list of things that i would like to do.
First thing i would like to do is replace the exhaust & from looking at your cars it seems like a lot of you go with the Xpipe design, where as here in the uk very few people seem to use them? It seems that the xpipe design produces a lot more drama, ie, loud with lots of pops, crackles & bangs
compared to the regular systems and this is just the type of sound that im looking for.
Anyway i hope your all well & i look forward to chatting with some of you in the near future.
Have fun, Chris

Thanks everyone for the kind comments and such a warm welcome to the club
If I'm honest she is a bit of a garage Queen
and having a little OCD for keeping things clean and tidy (developed from being a chef I think
) probably helps too.
KennyPride: I will take some pics Of the meshed bumper vents when I get a chance & post them here.
Thanks again for the kind replies, I look forward to chatting to you all some time soon.

. These cars are too much fun and drive too well to be wasting their time sitting still. Enjoy the ride!
