hey all - someone stole my street tires from my apt garage last weekend and I thought I'd post here in case anyone sees them. 18" Turbo Twist Hollow Spoke, gloss black powder coat w/ Michelin PS2's off of a 996TT. Turbo crest center caps.

Please PM me if you see them.

Thx,
Tim

Wow that's a real bummer. Keep your eyes out in the usual places like Craigslist, ebay, Porsche classified sections in forums like Pelicanparts.com 6speedonline.com etc. Good luck on getting them back, but truth be told, they're probably gone Positive rep for some good karma going your direction.

Wheels/tires were covered and locked with a 1" twisted steel cable with Krypton lock around a concrete pillar. Someone really wanted them, I guess.

oh yes.. I find it strange that if someone has the money to own of of the few cars that can use those wheels why would they take that chance. I hope you get them back.

Good luck finding them and sorry to hear it happened. Possible to process a claim with insurance?

Thanks for everyone's comments. Yes, it does suck that someone would steal these, but what the heck. At least they didn't get the track set. No luck locating the missing wheels/tires. Still checking craigslist and ebay but don't have much hope in finding them. Some good news to report though: fantastic response by USAA insurance! +1 to them for stepping up.

Not yet. Might break my heart to see those beauties in a scrap yard.
