How many here have had a water pump leak on them?

after sitting for nearly 5 months i finally took it out of the garage. After 100 perfect miles i spotted a drip... drip from the drivers side rear. Put it back on the lift and saw it was coming from the water pump area took the hose off cut the worn section out and put a new clamp filled it all back up, started while it was on the lift....and to my surprise drip drip drip. Hmmm definitely looks like the water pump. Doesn't seem to leak from anywhere else other than the hose area it self ( at a pretty rapid pace) Going to pressure test it today. BTW my car only has 66k on it. During those 100 test miles i did not push it beat it or WOT it.

I had a leak on my waterpump output shaft seal, but I attribute it to blown coolant hose and having to drive a little way with no coolant flow.

I pressure tested it today and leaks right above the hose that slides over the waterpump out put nipple. i got another one as well as a tensioneer, drive belt and oem coolant i will install it tomorrow and let you guys know how it goes.

This is ttboosts old car, the tank looks new i "think" i remember him saying he replaced it.

This all happened after i filled up my gas tank, last time i do that(which was the last time i drove the car my release bearing broke) lol

Shaft seal here after blowing a coolant line insert. Probably cooked the pump.

I had a leak in this area and it was one of the hose insert that was loose due to the glue not holding anymore....Do you know if the pipes (8) are welded or pinned?

Are you referring to the coolant lines that are glued with loctite? Apparently not too uncommon of a failure. Some people have them pinned when doing their next big maintenance. I may do the same.

I was joking.. Weld don't pin. Pining wont stop the GLUE from leaking. It will only stop the fitting from blowing out.
