I have read R888's are awful in the wet, which sucks cause I need more traction......

Tom
Tom the R888 are a great Drag/road race tire. Hands down one of the best.

Yes i have them and will be getting another set very soon. If you get stuck in the rain you need to be careful. If you have the option i suggest you don't drive on them on a daily basis so you don't have the issue of rain.

ran the same setup on stock wheels, really allowed me to put the power down and not spin thru 3rd gear. Tires get very hot from just driving around casually and IMO are not the best for longevity (suspect I will get more miles out of my PS2's with similar driving habits)

I run a 12" rear wheel, I can see how a 315 would be stretched on a 12.5.... why did you feel the need to go 12.5r? the 335 takes some fender work ect to fit i believe.

I like the tires a lot, but im borderline done with the road noise. It can get obnoxious sometimes when you have a girl or non car guy passenger with windows up. I will probably go back to Mich PS2s when these are worn through.

yes the noise is very annoying at times, when i mounted them up and pulled my turbo out of the garage over the rock driveway it was the WORST noise I had ever heard.

I always had traction issues in 3rd and 4th...never even tried 1st and 2nd...mostly with the Sumitomos. I also had traction issues at the TOP of 3rd and the TOP of 4th with my Nittos...

12.5" rim dosent work
12" the widest at the rear

10" front works if you have correct suspension/alingment/tire

If you have the proper tire/tire inflation/alingment/ suspension

you should not be breaking traction at your power level.

IF it's through the turns where you are losing traction

Get Hoosiers R6's or if you want to roll with the big boys

Michelin Slicks or Pirelli Slicks...than you will realize what crack on wheels is
and you will not be complaining about traction. Pay to play.

/ end of thread.

John, I think those taller sidewalls and soft suspension help the car dig.

HI,I think you have a point,in which I agree...Thanks
Also, thats why I went with K24/18gs over A28's,not a money thing,But I didnt want all that low end TQ to hit at once...
I am an old school RPM/HP guy for the street...Didnt want to worry about having tire, chassis and suspension issues to harness for a good hook-up..

I bought the wheels used, thats how they came. I have already rolled the inner lip in really good. What other fender mods will i need?

I dont know as i cant speak from experience but its going to depend on your offsets, you might have to ditch the fender liner, or play with the IC hose on the inside of the wheel well... if your willing to do the work get the 335s mounted up and see what needs to be done
