Resealing CF dash trim? Epoxy/Glue Recommendations?

I'm purchasing my first p-car, a 996TT from a forum member this week and trying to plan out initial maintenance/tweak lists for when I get it home. One of the "flaws" on the car is that it came with the CF dash kit including the strip that runs up on top of the dash up by the windshield, and like every other 996tt has pulled back from the sun/heat over the years on one side.

I'd like to reattach this but avoid using 3m tape as i've never had really good long term luck with the product. Is using something like gorilla glue or similar advisable or not?

Any recommendations on a product or type of product I should look for?

Simple dumb question I suppose but the last thing I want to do to my new car is futz up the interior in the first week by doing something stupid.

Thank you for your help.

I have the same issue. I fixed my side vents that were doing that with two part epoxy. I plan to do the same with my defroster strip.

epoxy works fine. just be careful where you apply as some areas are hard to get to. a bent applicator like q tips work well. watch for drips

Sry to hijack your thread, but I just got a quote to fix the strip and it was pretty pricey. Does anyone know where I can purchase the strip online for cheap?

Does this look like the strip? (http://shop.db-carbon-interieur.de/e...cts/030TU-0001)

I honestly don't know as i've never seen the strip in person.

That's the actual panel. The strip is a lot smaller than that and is usually glued to that panel.
