I've debated this from day 1 of ownership and read lots of threads about it:

I have a Europipe 2 Loud and a Lightweight Flywheel and K16's. I will always hit .8 bar in any gear 2nd and up as sustained boost...not just a spike. The car also idles at a higher rpm on cold startups so it won't stall.

I've seen a few posts of guys saying they see .8 now and then, but mostly .7. I will hit .8 even in 100 degree weather (that's why I waited so long to post this...thought maybe it was a cold weather thing).

Do some tuners make flashes that just help out with potential stalling for the LTFW and just add an extra .1 bar for kicks? Is this some kind of wussy tune?

 

More than likely no, you would be 'secretly' flashed if you were hitting 1.0 and upwards. You are gaining that 0.01 from the exhaust which is freeing up some back pressure.

+1 People would feel pretty ripped off if they only got .8 from a tune they paid 1K for...

 

Good to know guys. I thought maybe there were people out there that would pay to make their LTFW more drivable or something (who knows...people are crazy sometimes).

When CPO is up in 6 months I'm going for a real tune.
