996 turbo no ignition or dash lights. Where is the main relay?

Long time lurker but never had a problem worthy mentioning.

Drove the car last night at 1am. Was raining rather hard. Parked it and when I came to start it this morning the wipers and dash lights went on (ignition) and then when I tried to crank, everything went off and then nothing.

Took the key out. Put it back in and no dash lights or anything anywhere. No ignition whatsoever. Only thing that lights up is the radio safety light (red blink) The car has zero power anywhere now and feels as though the battery is disconnected. Of course I cant get in the hood since I dont have a booster.

I have a electrical mechanic friend coming by later but ideas on what it could be? Has me a little worried as of yet but would love to be able to point him in the right direction.

So far: my theory is the water caused a short on the main fuse (is there one on these cars) and then that popped saving everything else around the car. Hopefully itll be a simple fix.

More updates as I play detective...
For anyone who needs to know. There is the footwell fuse panel, relays above it and also relays located behind the rear seats.

Pull up the carpet and there is 3 10MM bolts holding in the plate on the right side.
Undo it and the relays will show thereself. There was one big fuse there that was not blown.

The more I check, the more it seems like this is just a battery that went dead all of a sudden or maybe the lead came off the battery or something innocent I think as no fuses are blown.

I wont be able to check until tomorrow morning as I have no car and no way to open the hood and test the battery out.

Ideas? I am still just trying to check everything I can right now with limited tools and no way of transportation.

ran through a puddle in my 04 cab, same thing, it did not want to start, let sit for a little while then it started up, i let it run at idle for a few minutes. I figured something got wet and just needed to dry itself out. GL

Alright. Ill hold my tail between my legs and say it. I think it was either the puddle OR a loose terminal. Got the hood opened, played with the terminal and then stuck the key in. Tadaa she started right up!
