9ff?

Hey guys, Ive been thinking about this for along time. With all the media attention and recoreds that 9ff has been setting.........why is no one biting? It seems that no one really wants there aftermarket packages? Or I could be wrong.

there was a serious customer service issue a couple year back.

I think they took someones money up front and then delayed delivery of the parts for a really long time. I could be wrong, but I think that's what happened.

I think nobody is feeling the look of their cars.

Bottom line, if their **** looked hot as hell, I think several of us would be sniffin' around regardless of their semi-questionable rep.

I mean they are NOT Hennessy (yet).

DJ,

I am not a fan of their style, however they are making some serious power and do hold the top speed record. As for "ripping off" ............ I believe the blame is being placed in the wrong direction. The customer who was ripped off was JRO. I understand the one who ripped him off was the sole USA representative who was not owned by 9ff. I don't remember the guys name. It is my understanding 9ff in Europe removed the sole USA representative as being their representative and made things right with JRO or John. I believe there was about 30k involved. 9ff stepped up to the plate and took the hit to keep John satisfied. They did not own the company that ripped off JRO. You have to give them alot of credit for doing that. If John is around he may may want to comment further.

I remember their US dealer was dishonest. People paid for parts that were not sent. I think 9ff eventually sent several of those people the parts direct from Germany after the US dealer disappeared.

that was the US distribution which wasn't technically affiliated w/ Germany. However Germany ended up giving them a full refund. The German shop has had no complaints from what I can tell.

edit: see some people beat me to it

That abous sums it up - I think they did make it right for John, who lives about 10 minutes north of me. However I think most people just remember that the "company" ripped someone off and they've left it at that. That's the power that these internet forums hold -
