a couple questions. why do you choose oil cooled over water cooled? couldnt you run a small water to air cooler for the turbos instead of a oil line? also are you beefing up the axle shafts ? how big a shaft can be run without interference?
it amazes me how far someone can go without a full shop behind them! i watched 2 guys build amazing amg engines in their garage and see great results.. congrats!!

PTE turbo has no water cooling ports. in any case I never run the water to the turbos.Warranty? who cares really? The factory water cools journal bearing turbos (no cages to melt) to bring the car up to operating temp quicker for emissions. In my eyes its called water fooling!! I think it just heats the coolant up and taxes the coolant system more on a already under sized system. As for axles I run drive shaft shops ones. That you for the interest.

Tim good axels. I had a misshap with the passanger side one at the track 2 summers ago. When you hook a 1.55 somethings got to give. But they stood behind it and all was good.

thanx for the explanation tim. i come from the s/c crowd and these turbos are a new game for me so having someone with the expertise to build this type of high hp engine explain why they chose a certain route of building teaches me so much more than just jumping in uneducated!

May be I am wrong but it seems to me you have to rewire everything? I guess it is because of the new Moton ECU? Did you have to buy a complete wiring harness to get all the different plugs? I am amazed of this major modification! I am very impress!

I can power up the factory relays from the motec so not ALL the wiring is lost but yeah it is a lot of work. The factory ecu is not being used at all.. All motor controls, inputs and outputs are done by or through the motec. I got a 10' unterminated harness from motec and am fitting it myself. You can buy all the plugs from a few different places. Its no joke and lots of work..
