Yes they do John. They make plenty of noise for little if any gain. The only real thing it does is not add side load on the thrust bearing on the ims. Not really the big a deal.

Does the the oil pump need to be clearanced for the Carrillos? Or are they plug and play?

Nice work, I'm looking forward to watching your build progress.

Thanks again for the help.

Thank you. Yes the oil pump needs to be clearanced. Very little today though, I feel because of the 4.0 motor, the newer pumps are cut more from the factory. The gt3 rod bearings diameter is smaller then the turbo one this is do to the extra load from the torque that the turbo makes.

Just curious. You did not installed any vario cam system for advance and it seems that the cams did not have the dual lift system??? Is it possible? You will have to modify the ecu programming I guess? How about the tappets, did you installed a solid ones?

MoTec... no dual lift. no vario. no factory ecu control the motor any longer. I feel that on the factory race cars there is no high lift and no vario. maybe because the weight? That there is to much to break? Not much in the low lift and the vario but emission value? I will find out..
