tcu is the newest version, but not flashed

my mechanic does not see any codes/faults go on during the runs

my mechanic also says he hears a ticking noise

the car has all new exhaust and intake lifters, valves and stems...perhaps the machine shop that did the work on the valve job messed up

how do you check the exhaust cam without taking out the motor?

A little lowblow, I know. What interesting was you were breaking the Tip records left and right with those.

Ben,

Intake cam check on the durimetric. exhaust cam, put the motor on tdc bank one and pull the green plug that cover the rear of the cam look at the slot that is used to set the cam and see where it is and compare this to the tool. Bank two you may need to move the oil tank. Do Not rely on the crank pulley notch. use a indicator in plug one.

LOL.. Mark that was the tare down.. I always check the timing before just to see. Its never been prefect. Or evenly off do to chain ware. water line fitting not fixed and exhaust cam plate not in because of being out of time, intake is in time.

exhaust and intake timing were good

the problem is in the pics below...oil coming from cylinders 3&4

there appears to be oil in the exhaust port and oil around the valve heads

i am not sure if this shows what is causing the power loss, but i think it shows what is causing the smoking

i just don't understand how my leakdown and compression were good if two cylinders are messed up?

Ben,

Leak down is done on bottom dead center. If there is sleeve damage anywhere above that spot it will not show on a leak down. Bad news is you need to pull off that head and remove the jug and see with your eyes whats going on.

Edit Top dead center..
