getting back to this... found a retired Porsche mechanic close that will help with the trans extraction. ... he is going to pick up the car looks like week after this... the problem was still there after I put the valve body back in. and the seal blew... ordered new solinoids and seal I realy feel it is one of them acting up. will update. they had the right resistance but did not check there operation.

this is the first time the " seal " blew.. I am assuming it is the main seal to the converter. The fluid is gushing out the bell housing lower rectangular port...

The conductor plate is a Hudson part number D78444

Xref 1402701161
Vend220954

These are all the numbers on the box...

I put the higher pressure blue top regulators on. Amg does it on the transmissions that go on there cars. Same 722.6 trans.. Should have been fine..

More blue tops? U think the blue tops is what blew ur seal. Seal should hold either way. Any programming issue with going to blues?

I talked to ipt back when I put the blue tops in and he said should not be a problem and it is done all the time. I don't know yet if the seal poped out or broke.

Trans is out. Put all new shifting solenoids in. Changing clutch packs. The new friction disks are clearly a different material. Pg 31 and on in the tec man for the 722.6 gives the specifications for the stack up of the plates.

You doing it yourself?

I'm at a standstill on mine. I found that the k3 drum in the C2 tranny I was messing with holds 1 less clutch than what is in the turbo tip. Same issue in another drum or 2. Buying different drums is easy, in fact already bought another K3 drum for mock up. Just not sure if it changes any tolerances or not. Shouldn't! It's the same transmission case. I have all the parts ready to go. Replacing nearly everything I can, even those damn hard to find roller bearings. Gotta get them from Lithuania or something.

How many frrictions in your K3 drum? This c2 holds 4 but pretty sure turbo tip holds 5. Are you going to have the drums machined for more clutches? Who gonna do that for you?
