I've been enjoying this forum for a couple of years and have learnt a lot about my car (Seal Grey 2001) just by reading all the posts.

My car is showing "Tip Emergency run" and "PSM failure" when I turn the ignition on first thing in the morning. The car will start and run perfectly, however the gearbox is locked in second and the shift lights flash.

When I drive the speedo stays on 0kph. After a few minutes I stop the car turn everything off and then when I restart it everything is back to normal and the car runs perfectly.

I took the car in for a 40,000km service and asked the indy to look into it. They cleared the codes and said it would be OK now. Next morning problem came back. Now it also seems be harder to get things running properly, taking several cycles to clear.

Any thoughts? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Some more info below:

Battery is almost new and car lives of trickle charger
2001 with 38500Km
Errors come up BEFORE the engine is started
Engine is stock (only mod is the hole drilled in the rear pipe as per the mod posted on this forum)

 

Limp mode, See if you can write the codes down.
