skyline23 is infamous around these parts
So two follow up questions on this then: it sounds like it is more of an issue with corner exit, but what about mid corner even throttle application to keep the car stable, such as in long sweepers?

And as for corner exit, what is the proper technique for throttle delivery? Just be extra extra smooth? Or even then will the boost kick in mid-exit and upset the balance of the rear?

When you feel confident turn it off (the PSM will still activate when the car deems it a higher critical issue than when "ON") , when you feel brave unplug it (the PSM is really "OFF").

For me I find it on some corners that 2nd gear is too low and 3rd gear is too high. With a non-NA car it is a compromise regarding entering/exit speed.

Sweepers is basically throttle steering (on the gas gently until I feel a little more oversteer than I like).

Throttle delivery on exit depends on the type of the corner or sweeper. Exiting from a sweeper to a straight I am on the gas ASAP.

Corners need a range from a better part of finesse to not so much so.

All the above IMHO. I am still learning

Mid corner is ok, you just have to be REALLY gentle as at the very bottom of the pedal travel is more on/off and it can throw off the balance, especially on soft springs. The best way is very low maintenance throttle but not enough to accelerate. That will keep the turbo's spinning and reduce lag when you're ready to exit the corner.

People get it backwards, with a Turbo car, you don't point and shoot, hitting the gas later, you hit the gas earlier because the car will take a split second to react, but you have to know where to put the pedal, as too much throttle = too much torque = push or oversteer.

Also lag can be reduced by carrying more speed into the corner. Something harder to do with AWD as it wants to push. This is where RWD is better. Elevation changes and corner exit with early throttle application (as long as you can get it turned in) is where AWD is better. Good thing this car can do both.

These are the corners were the lag is most evident. More so in AWD than RWD because AWD just won't let you carry the same speed unless you really get it loose (like F1)

are you saying i'm loose jk
Dez..

i think i use trail breaking a lot to break the car lose ? and I get heavy on the throttle before the apex to bring the back end around. With my alignment / driving style it helps me. I dunno i just drive, and my car is oversteery.

reviving an old thread here. Quick question, the X50 has the dual scavenge oil pump from the GT3. Is it such an upgrade? Or will the stock pump be fine ?
