I should mention that I purchase a pump assembly in 2009 and the U hose was in rubber.....
Great, thanks!

Larry, I got a lots of spare parts and this one was on my list.... I got it from Ebay for $150.00 + shipping and realized the unit was not modified.( I was the only one who bid on it) It was brand new but probably purchase before they modified the loop hose. After having the part# from Wross for a new loop hose I order one on Ebay yesterday for $19.95 + shipping. So the pump will become a modified one

Most of the pump failure we saw in the last two years were cause by this U hose rupture. Not really a failure of the pump itself. The hose can be a good part to have in stock!

Jpflip - What hose clamps did you go with for the new hose? Thanks.

David, I am not there yet because I need the outside diameter of the hose to get the proper clamp. It does not have to be special but stainless steel is a must and not too much torque on the clamp because the attachment is only plastic. I will do my search when the hose is here and will give you the exact size I've used... HS type will be used. May be HS-6 (28/64 to 50/64 diameter and 1/2 width)

Note: Just found the hose cheaper on Amazon but they don't want to ship to Canada....

Mine failed few weeks ago...
