Just bought some replacement stock wheels - And they're buckled!!

Just bought some stock wheels to put on my car during the winter months

I took the wheels to get refurbished prior to fitting - and got told they're buckled

The refurb company said the fronts are both fine, but both rear wheels are bent at the centres

They said since the centres are bent they're basically junk, as any attempt to straighten the centres will just crack them

They said bent rims are easy, but bent centres are serious

Has anyone else experienced this?

The refurb company (biggest and best in the uk) said its very rare that a wheel will bend at the centres

I asked them what they think caused it and they say it could be due to hitting a large pot-hole at the very least

I thought the stock wheels were meant to be pretty strong
Has anyone else had this happen at all?

Is this due to width and offset, or design, or something else?

1. I've never heard of this
2. I'm not sure I can even picture or understand this. Seriously!

ZygoteCustoms is infamous around these parts
Only the rear is damaged...hard to bend a rear rim without first hitting the front. Sounds like the hub part of the wheel might be damaged from improper mounting previously or a thin hubbed wheel (mounting surface) on a very high HP car.

Are the multi-piece?

He mentioned stock wheels.

The stockers are very thick and made to take punishment. Surprised they are bent like you say they are.

Your Guess is as good as mine? I saw it on the machine..
The rim repair shop in Highland Park ,IL. on Skokie Blvd. said they could cut the inner lip a bit to true it up a little better...
It was also a stock Rim..
I think the best people to ask about this is Wheel Enhancement?

I bought 4 PS2 for my Audi S/4 ....a month later, one looked low.
Went back to the big box 'C' and asked that they check. They advised that rim rim in question was bent??? I asked - how considering all they did was to change all 4 wheels and they were good before. I asked they tranfer new tire to spare and called it a day.
