Car & Driver test used a carbiolet and test results
Looks like the car and driver test used a cabriolet TT. I can attest that the cabriolet is a pig compared to the coupe. I like the drop top, but I would not trade a coupe for a cab again as the cab is a totally different car from a performance standpoint.
Interesting noone said anything about the Turbo S being a cab.
Anyway, here are the apparent test results. The coupe would have faired better.

3.6 - FordGT
4.0 - 911 Turbo S Cabriolet
4.1 - F430
4.1 - Gallardo
4.2 - SL65 AMG

0-100MPH
8.4 - FordGT
9.1 - SL65 AMG
9.2 - Gallardo
9.2 - 911 Turbo S Cabriolet
9.4 - F430
10.9 - DB9
0-150MPH...always my personal favorite test
19.1 - FordGT
20.5 - SL65 AMG
21.4 - Gallardo

12.1 @ 120mph - SL65 AMG
12.1 @ 117mph - 911 Turbo S Cab

what's with those F430 #s? Completely different than the #s when the car was being touted. Seems like another 360 to me (i.e. running away from races

The F430 is the second slowest car and yet it still takes the no.1 spot? need to check out the article myself. But I thought the F430 runs high eleven for 1/4 mile, doesn't it?

Seems that very early press car 360s were very quick too , never to be equaled by later examples . I wonder if Ferrari secretly " optimizes " the ECUs and/or shift times on early press cars , not caring about emissions or longevity consequences, since they are for thrashing and returning to the corporate offices for later " refurbishment ". I certainly wouldn't be thrilled as a Ferrari buyer if true or suspected . At least Porsches tend to test better than their specs .
