when i changed out a rad, i didn't "need" to bleed the system. just replaced ( per the poster above ) about a gal of 50/50 coolant/distliied.
the trick to the re-filling is to have the car jacked from the rear, and while re-filling into the exp tank to have the revs maintained at approx 3k rpm. it helps to prevent air getting into the system and makes for an easier equalization of both the coolant level as well as pressure. leave the second breather unsnapped while driving around a bit to check the coolant level and once it needs more 50/50 ( or conversely leaks out the top of the exp tank breather cap ) then once level is at max line, snap breather clamp down, you should be done.
