My car now has over 213'000 km. Yep, that's over 132'000 miles. It just got new H&R dampers. After 3 years of hard use, the old ones were more than cooked. And top-speed still is 319km/h indicated.
Looking forward to the next trip to the Nürburgring mid-August!
Greetings,
--Pierre

What you mean to say is that Porsche went back to the Pontiac Grand Am tradition...
The 997 interior is straight out of a Pontiac (well... except for that clock/timer/fugly thing on the dash... it came from an infiniti).

I am planning to purchase an 03 turbo or a used GT3. I still have not come to a conclusion on which one is right for me.
With that said, do you feel the 996 turbo depreciation will slow down? When is the 997 turbo expected to be released? Will it's intro lower the 996 turbo even further or has this already been built in? I plan to make my purchase this fall/winter.
I am also waiting to pull the trigger after the C6 ZO6 is released. The ZO6 sounds pretty interesting considering its $70k price.
Thanks.
George

I think if I were buying American muscle, I'd hold off for the Shelby GT 500 - it's even cheaper than the Z06!
I really don't see the 997TT introduction will affect the value of the 996TT. The group that will get to buy the first group of 997TT will be in a totally different class in terms of price. The 997TT will be $120-$140k depending on options and where you buy from. The average 2002-2003 996TT are going to be $70-$90k. There's a $30-$70k difference. So the people who are not able to enjoy a new TT when they first came out can enjoy these used ones now. I think not only will value fall but instead stablize. But that's just how I feel.

but have you considered that most of the people who will be buying these 997TTs will be trading in the 996tt that they already own, and increasing supply to an already flooded market? And that many of us whose cars are worth the $70-90k paid $120-160K when we bought them, so we are in the same market. That said...auction figures seem to indicate that the price is stabilizing anyhow.
